HANOI LE MAT SNAKE VILLAGE TOUR

Le Mat village located about 10km from Hanoi Old Quarter, and is famous for snake cuisine. If you want to try different dishes made from snake meat marinated with Vietnamese herbs and spycies, and visit the snake farm to see the snake alive, then Le Mat sanke village is the perfect destination for you.
ITINERARY
Le Mat snake village is about 12 km from Ha Noi City center, in the east of Hanoi. Tourist could reach Le Mat vilage by car, scooter or bicycle. You could cross the Long Bien Bridge or Chuong Duong Bridge to Viet Hung ward, Le Mat Snake Village Long Bien District. Come to Le Mat you could enjoy one of the most distinctive food in Hanoi, a local food that is special even to the local people!
Related to Vietnamese cuisines, most of people think of Pho (beef noodle soup), Bun Cha (rebab rice noodle) or Banh Mi (sandwiches). Those are Viet Nam’s popular and typical food, but also we have a lot of other cuisines to try, something special, something a little bit crazy and interesting, one of that kind of food is snake. Snake meat has a special, unique flavor will ensure to give a new experience for your appetite. From snake meat combine with local ingredents, our well trained, professional chefs or home’s owner will offer you about 10 different kind of dishes such as snake spring rolls, snake soup, snake porridge, deep fried snake skin, stir fried snake with veggies, grilled snake, deep fried snake skin…
All in all, snake food tour is a unique tour, which offer a unique way of enjoying the tour. If you want to adventure “a little bit”, we will offer you the snake’s heart, preferably consumed fresh and uncooked, with a shot of snake wine (Vietnamese rice wine mixed with snake blood, stirred with lemongrass to ensure a strong flavor).
After trying out all of those dishes, you may enter the snake farm to experience how the snakes are raised, fed, trained by local experts, also you can witness some of the largest bottle of King Cobra snake wine in Vietnam. You will listen to some legends about the King snake in Le Mat village.
Tour finish in about 3 hours, we will drive you back to your hotel in Ha Noi Old Quarter.

Pick-up service
